ObjectiveTo investigate near vision and changes in the amplitude of accommodation in the early stages after cataract of patients with axial myopia.Methods59 cataract patients (75eyes) who underwent cataract surgery were included in this study. The cataract patients were divided into 2 groups according to axial:A group with longer axial length 26.03-29.98mm (23 cases 28 eyes),36 emmetropes(47 eyes, axial 22.25-25.63mm)were selected as controls.3 month after cataract surgery were measured at near visual acuity and amplitude.ResultThere was no significant difference between the two groups(p> 0.05) after operation.The amplitude of A group was lower than B group(p<0.05).ConclusionThe apparent accommodation of pseudophakic eyes does exist,symptoms of asthenopia in the early stages after cataract surgery are correlated with accommodative amplitude and pseudophakic.
