Title	The Diagnosis and Treatment of HCC in Taiwan
Abstract	Hepatoma is a common disease in most part of China and Taiwan.It is a very maliganat disease.If early diagnosis is made it still can be treat.For B hepatitis and C hepatitis patient,general follow up for 4-6months is needed. Examination for LFT with GOT,GPT,bilirubin,albumin,alfa FP, Once Dx is comfire,aggressive treatment must be made.1·Localize surgical treatmentSurgical resection of hepatoma is radical treatment,however,most of the cases are too late for surgical due to poor liver function,(75% of the pt are clinically chronic liver disease),bilateral lobe of liver are involve or extrahepatic metastasis,there are contraindication.Therefore resection rate only 10-25%.If hepatoma is non resectable the progrosis is poor,few months servival in noted,post resection with 5 years recurrent rate up to 83 %.2·Localize non surgical treatmentNon surgical or post surgical recurrent cases are indication for localize non surgical treatment,which are:percutaneous ethanol intral tumor injection (PEIT).RadiofrequencyAblation(RFA),Microablation,Trans-arterial(chemo)embol ization.3·Generalize treatmentWhen regional lymph node metastasis or extrahepatic metastasis localize treatment bring poor results,when the main hilar system was invasion,trans arterial embolization is contraindition,for the above cases,generalize treatment should be consideration,which involve chemothrapy,immuno treatment.4·Liver transplantationUnder the image examination if the tumor is localize at hepatic region,liver transplantation could bring good hope for this hepatoma patient.The patient of early stage with small hepatoma and liver cirrhosis,the result of liver transplantation is better then surgical resection.5·Tradisional Chinese medication treatmentTradisional Chinese medication with supplyment with chemical drugs and physical treatment can prolong treating time of the patient and promote the life quality of the end stage of hepatome and reduces the pain and have the denity of the patient.But this treatment is alternative.
