| Title | Nutrition Support after Hepatectomy in Patients with Heptocarcinoma |
| Abstract | Objective (1) To observe the role of hypocaloric nutrition support after liver resection in patients with liver cancer. (2) To observe the role of different Medium- and Long-Chain triglyceride after hepatectomy in patients with liver cancer. (3) To observe the role of Structured triglyceride after hepatectomy in patients with liver cancer. Methods (1) 49 cases after heptectomy surgical procedure were randomly assigned into 2 groups: STG group (n=25), receiving peripheral parenteral nutrition support with ESPEN standard in regular”3 liter bag”, and contral group receiving no lipids and nitrogen 0.20(0.19~0.21)g.kg-1.d-1 in regular bag. Postoperative liver function, plasma proteins and post operative complications was checked.(2) 59 cases after heptectomy surgical procedure were randomly assigned into 2 groups: STG group (n=29), receiving peripheral parenteral nutrition support with STG in regular”3 liter bag”, and MCT/LCT group receiving MCT/LCT in regular”3 liter bag”. Postoperative liver function, plasma proteins and post operative complications was checked.(3) 54 cases after heptectomy surgical procedure were randomly assigned into 2 groups: hypocaloric group(n=29), receiving peripheral parenteral nutrition support with 15(14~16)kcal.kg-1.d-1 and nitrogen 0.10(0.09~0.11)g.kg-1.d-1 in regular”3 liter bag”, and contral group receiving calorie of 30(28~32)kcal.kg-1.d-1 and nitrogen 0.20(0.19~0.21)g.kg-1.d-1 in regular”3 liter bag”. Postoperative liver function, plasma proteins and post operative complications was checked.Results(1) Liver functions was found to be improved, postoperative complications was equal in STG group. (2) Liver functions was found to be improved, postoperative complications was equal, and total post-operative cost was equal in STG group.(3) Liver functions was found to be improved, hyperglycemia was controlled more softly, postoperative complications was equal, and total post-operative cost was saved in hypocaloric group.Conclusion(1) The structured triglycerides was well tolerated and induced, and nutrition therapy with STG is an effective method for postoperative support in patients after hepotectomy with liver cancer.(2) Compared with MCT/LCT, the structured triglycerides was well tolerated and induced, and nutrition therapy with STG is an effective method for postoperative support in patients after hepotectomy with liver cancer.(3) The hypocaloric nutrition support is an effective method for postoperative support in patients after hepotectomy with liver cancer. |
