Objects:By establishing rat non-alcoholiefattyliverdisease(NAFLD)model with high-fat diet to observe the effects of Candesartan on liver function in Atherosclerosis rats. This experiment will provide a referenee for clinical drug treatment.Methods:Fifty male SD rats were randomly divided into normal group,Atherosclerosis model group,low,medium and high dose group of Candesartan。Normal group were fed on normal diet. Atherosclerosis model group and Candesartan group of different dose were fed on high-fat diet. After 12 weeks treatment,all rats were killed.Blood was collected and the lipid indexes and the liver function indexes were determined.The livers of every group were separated and made olefin slice in HE dyeing.Result:1、Candesartan can influence the morphology of liver in atherosclerosis rats.2、Compared with model group,the main indexes (TC、TG、LDL) had decreased significantly ( P< 0. 05).3、Compared with model group,the HDL had increased significantly in high dose group of Candesartan ( P< 0. 01).4、Compared with normal group ,main indexes of liver function (ALT and AST) in model group had significantly increased ( P < 0. 01) .After12week treated with different doses of Candesartan ,compared with model group ,the main indexes of liver function (ALT and AST) had decreased significantly ( P < 0. 01) ,and the medium dose group had better results than the other Candesartan group in improving liver function.Conclusion:1、The main indexes (CHO、TG、LDL) can be decreased by Candesartan in Atherosclerosis rats.2、Candesartan can relieve liver injury and improve liver function obviously in Atherosclerosis Rats.3、The effects of Candesartan did not depend on dose.
